Interesting stuff from England. I wonder which team has a greater reliance on their number star 10: New Zealand or England?

That was a big result, France beating Ireland. Very big.

    Tomorrow our kid

    Ireland v England
    France v Wales
    Scotland v Italy

We're giving too many penalties away. The Irish are handing out a lot of cheap shots though. I don't like the look of the way this game is going. Ireland will take this one unless we get the ball out wide more. We're missing twinkle toes.

Oh well done Grewcock! What was the point in that. They'll be a try here now.

Told you. I blame Grewcock for that. We're up **** creek without a paddle now.

I think the difference is the All Blacks are expected to win even without Dan Carter.

The real difference is the All Blacks are also able to play rugby, England don't show that ability at all.

Danny Grewcock got yellow carded! What a shock!

OK then, what a great suggestion. Let's do that. Hmmm. Farrell was overhyped. Check. Ireland are miles better than Scotland. Check. You can't rely on Wilkinson penalties to win against good teams. Check.

NOW you can have a serious look at the state of the England team and make some decisions with regard to where to head for the World Cup.

Did you see what he got yellow carded for? It was so, so pointless. I don't know what he thought he was trying to do, or how he thought he'd get away with it...

He's been doing it for years. The guy is such a liability, no matter how good he might be on the field. Any good team would find it so easy to just bait him a bit and wait for his head to explode.

Luckily our very own time bomb Troy Flavell is behaving himself a bit more these days!

What is it with you and slagging the old veterans? Mike Catt had a great game!

France were atrocious today, but that's a good result for England.

Strettle is a real quality back, he'll be in the side for years to come. Pace, trickery, strength and very direct. Good stuff.

That is a good result for England (but not for my sports betting pool).

I'm not slagging all old veterans, but it is usually a sign of desperation when you have to resort to ancient past players to prop up your team. Full credit to Catt though - he did well.

It is a shame that, in NZ, Mike Catt will forever be known as the guy who got trampled by Jonah Lomu in that 1999 World Cup game. Nobody here ever remembers all the good stuff he has done.

I think what it was, with Wilko injured (again) we called in Toby Flood at fly half, who, amongst other young heads in this new team needed an old experienced head to tell them what to do. It worked quite well, I think. If you're good enough, you're old enough (or young enough..).

France made us look a lot better than we were though, I've not seen them play that bad in ages. Throws the 6N's wide open again though, eh.
