    Big and bold is {size=3}{b}blabla{/b}{/size=3}

    (offcourse {} = [] )

How do you exactly make tables, ex?

The buttons make it all some easier for people that aren't common with UBB. Now everybody can make a hyperlink instead of just quotting the whole url in the post...

    Where is the "Mode-option" for?

Ah.. even a translation-mode for in case we get another portguese on the BG-boards :p

I still use my old fashioned way and put:
{code}{/code} in front and at the end of the table.

But of course, you can insert these in the post you're making, then you copy/paste the ASCII table in between the codes.

Mode-options are below the box you write the post inside.

And IIRC on each posting interface it's displayed:
    {IMG} UBB Code Not Allowed!
Tal, are you sure you will allow this option?

Well, posting tables here was always a huge problem.... so this is a good change...

IMG should still remain disabled, for when everybody starts posting images, the users with good old modem-internet get problems with loading such topics...

[IMG] Extremist, the IMG code is still disabled and will remain so. It's only listed in that HTML because all features are, even the disabled ones.

Tal, my point was to point on the one of the posts above. However, BTA edited that one out.

[IMG] And that was my point too, glad that the insert pic is not in, as I said the opportunities would have been infinite :) Good work on the panel :)
I'm not sure about fontsizes though ... not really useful, just for tying around.

EDIT: Adding UBB code by hand is still faster :p

Another thing that would be very nice, since you're updating things, is a "Preview" button, that lets you proofread and see your post before it actually gets posted. I know it sounds redundant, but sometimes (actually often, for me) it's easier to catch spelling errors when the message is in it's completed form. Plus it's nice to look it over, to make sure all the smilies and paragraphs are in place. It would save from having to go back and edit two or three times, like I almost always do.

I must have missed the preview button, can anyone tell me were it is? It sounds like a usefull tool.

[Uh, that was Damona Silvercloud's "would be nice to have" feature - BTA]

Sorry BTA, must have read over that line. (How could I have missed that? It was the first line) It would be nice to have though.

Well it's certainly feasible, but it seemed like total redundance to me. Haven't heard of anyone requesting it thus far.

Does anyone else think this would be something useful?

I think the preview button would help to avoid editing since it is a little difficult to notice UBB coding mistakes on the post reply screen.
On the other hand, editing the post is implemented to correct mistakes, so it would be indeed a redundant feature.

Like Damona, I usually pick out my spelling mistakes after I pressed the submit reply button and actually reading the message again on the board. I too edit my posts sometimes a few times to take out all the spelling errors. I don't know if this will be different with a preview option, but it might help. And it is also usefull to see if you put all the UBB coding in the right place, like Ragusa said.

I don't suppose there is anyway to toggle the Mode for the panel so that it is always in 'Off' mode or 'Inline' mode?

[IMG] It defaults to "Prompt" for everyone. It could be set to any other option, but again, for everyone. And since Prompt is what people use in 99.9% of cases, we'll stick with it. I don't see why you'd use Off, it's not like the buttons are distrubing or something, and they would load in any case. And I have no idea what you'd do with Inline since it's for posting code only.
