Well, I stuffed him down in an old shoe box
Punched a couple of holes in the top
And when Sunday came I snuck him into Church

A country comedy song from the late 1990s.

The Mississippi Squirrel Revival was originally recorded by Ray Stevens in 1984. I used to listen to it all the time when I was younger (much younger).

    Edit: Oops typo.

I only started hearing it in 1992 on the local country station. T2 is correct and now has the floor.

My dad worked in Pascagoula for a while and played the song all the time (and sang it). I love the song -- just not my dad's version of it.

"Whiskey's too rough, champagne costs too much, and vodka puts my mouth in gear."

    Now we've come together
We're all waiting for a sign

Not the best band. But with the longest song titles :p (IIRC you posted a very long title by this band not long ago )
Bal-Sagoth : Of Carnage And A Gathering Of The Wolves

Not the best band? Not the best band? Oh dear, Mr Undertaker. I am afraid that you have failed. How can you deny the majesty of Bal-Sagoth?

However, that is in fact the song. I await your next misguided choice.

They are good but not the greatest. And the greatest band is (was) "DEATH" ! :p Bow before them.

I'm sure you're there wandering around
But do you care for me I'm alone
You talk of love not for me
In my dungeon cold I could think about
    All the things you've said
But I can't understand your famous son

And don't you dare to call my choice misguided now :p
