Let freedom ring with a shotgun blast!

EDIT: few more lines as a hint
    "Scarred
Pour the salt in the wound
    Unscarred"

Since no one knows,it's Davidian by Machine Head
    New quote:

    "Blood for face
    Sweat for dirt
    Three X's for the stone
    To break this curse
    A ritual's due
    I believe I'm not alone
    Shell of shotgun
    Pint of gin
Numb us up to shield the pins
    Renew our faith
    Which way we can
To fall in love with life again "

Well, the quote is quite long so no hints this time. Maybe later.

Definitely sounds like Metallica to me... But which one? :bang:

Hmm...Sounds like a good excuse for some S&M; not that I ever need one, though!

EDIT: not like that! Honestly, can't you people get your minds out of the gutter? ;)

EDIT 2: Got it! FiXXXer! Dammit! "3 X's for the stone" should've given that away straight off the bat! :shake:

You are right. (as a possible hint I would make "3 X's for the stone" underlined or sth but since you've got it...)

    1. He's Canadian
    2. It's definitely not heavy metal

The only one who comes to mind is Bryan Adams, but I've yet to find those particular lyrics on any of the cds I own.

Nope, not the Groover from Vancouver. Think more electronic.

Another hint: the song's title is actually in the quote!

I got an album of BT, with a nice track called 'Dreaming'. Nice electrics as well, so here's my guess:

    BT - Dreaming

[IMG] Nope, neither of them. It is an artist, rather than a band, if that helps. And it's not so much "electronica" (whatever that is - I don't do genres :p ) as 80s-style. Well... Kind of. Look, I'm not good at pigeon-holing, ok?

I gave up, and in trying to satisy my curiosity it also appears to be ungoogleable. You've done it again Mags.

Thanks to CanCon (Canadian Content - a certain percentage of music played by radio stations must be Canadian), I'm certain I've heard this song. Unfortunately, all that ever gets played now is Blue Rodeo, Trooper or Rush.

    Ryan Adams - "Start Dreaming"

    (A total guess.)

[IMG] @kuemper: No, none of them. I have no idea who Blue Rodeo or Rush are, and have only a vague recollection of Trooper. :heh:

    @Casrcoroth: Ungoogleable?! :eek: :doh:

This one wasn't even meant to be obscure - it's just what I was listening to at the time! Oh well.

More lines may be in order, methinks:

If you want forgiveness, you better start apologising

I guess you're proud to be different
