    Well, it links to this, which is from the White House administration. However, the statement itself is less than rock solid. I imagine it reflects Obama's views, but he has been willing to compromise before.

    I suppose the article itself is "legit", but that doesn't mean SOPA is dead and buried, nor that there has been an official veto.

    Did you see Anonymous' response? They DDOS'd the FBI's site as well as a load of others.

    Apparently they're going to launch 'Project Mayhem', described here in a rather... dramatic way...

    As the Bene Gesserit saying iirc goes, don't cal someone dead until you've seen their corpse - and even then, you may be wrong. There's a lot of money and interests behind SOPA/PIPA, just postponing doens't mean it's all over.

    The bill isn't dead. The sponsoring politicians are bought and paid for, so they will reword the bill, get the 'left' media to convince people that the bill creates jobs and then try again.

    Yeah, seems so. It was just to easy if you look back at it.

    They will come up with a better wording that'll lull the average Joe a bit, and then, just like Morg said, they will spout words like foreign piracy cost jobs, savings, houses and lives.
