Hmm... that syndrome thing is actually alarming me, maybe I should talk to my doctor. The pictures of that woman's hands were quite familiar-looking.

I think I'll measure my armspan first, though.

@Aragorn: I don't know if I should be flattered or really disturbed. I didn't really give it much thought at first, but now that you're asking for saturday, I am kind of questioning your virility, yes

[IMG] The ease with which people whose first language is not English, use it so fluently on these boards must definitely be included on anyone's list of talents. Why is it taken for granted?

I really do want to know as I can only speak English and very poor French? :hmm:

    Anyway I can't resist this :evil: .;

Foradasthar you meant to say you were like any other man in the street. A streetwalker (leans in closer) is a HARLOT. :shake: ;)

    Streetwalker

But in the world of work aren't we all harlots of one type or another? :(

I can walk on my hands.

    I can do *vertical* push-ups.

I can hold one foot in front of the other knee...jump...and send the foot that was on the ground through the "loop" landing with my held foot now behind my knee...the entire time holding the original foot. I hope that description made sense.

I can double skip when jumping rope. I.E. the rope goes around twice...I jumped once...makes a nice *whoosh* noise as well

A harlot? Well how do you know that isn't what I meant?

Hmm, easy to guess? Well anyway, I thought streetwalker sounded a bit wrong. I figured the daywalker of "Blade" I just recently saw somehow made its way there.

As for the English language, it's really not at all that uncommon these days. For me, I read English literature, read and write even more for some of my hobbies and then here on the boards. And I have to use it daily in my work. Still, I feel my level of English isn't too much better than with any other average Finnish person.

Besides, in a country where around 20% of the populace can speak 3 languages almost (or quite) fluently, it's kind of obvious that it should come for granted.

Also, I realise that drawing a line between what is an inherent talent, and what's just something you've learned through hard work, is hard. But I figured this thread was more about the sort of "natural" talent. English is hardly something like that for most people here, as it requires motivation and work, it's not something unexplained that you're practically "born" with.

Aragorn II: Wrong guess, sorry. Better luck next time. In fact I was contemplating the apparent vanity of your gasconade, with a special accent put on down to earth facts as opposed to wishful thinking

    Hmm, my talents

Drawing, I like to think I'm good at this, or perhaps its a joke made up by my school friend to keep me quiet and out of the way for hours at a time.

Rock Climbing. I really enjoy this sport. Might come in handy some time.

Making people laugh without realizing it was funny.

    making up excuses

Making the Wrong choices. I do that a lot.

[IMG] I have a talent for making the most barbaric of fantasy races seem civilized and perfect compared to the normal world. Including Banshees ;) of the DI design, naturally.

Aragorn - keep Chevvy in check :p
remember - you once called him your hamster ;)

did I mention the talent for stirring up unpleasent memories?

    Hmm, talents, eh?
    ......
I can lose stuff, blame it on my friend, then find it at my feet about a minute later. I even sometimes lost stuff then blame it on the teacher. I never did know what happened to that dollar!

And I consider my English to be quite a bit better then average even though it's not my first language, huzzah!

Annnnnnnnd I can come post stuff like this at websites, write stories, and not work on a speech I'm supposed to do probably tomorrow and haven't even finished.

For any persons of the female persuasion who haven't posted here yet, here's a special talent to learn. Do not go camping without it! :p A girl I was in the Army with could pee her name into the snow.

A Woman's Guide on How to Pee Standing Up

Naturally I'm too ladylike for this. My special talent is knitting.
