    This was written for LJ but I think it's appropiate here. :p

    Stress Level 0 - Carefree happiness; probably frolicking with fairies or something.
    Stress Level 1 - Light anxiety due to imminent essay due in perhaps two or three weeks. Said anxiety does not affect screwing around and doing nothing.
    Stress Level 2 - Medium level anxiety, the essay is probably one and half weeks away. Starting to get books to read, but fails at taking notes.
    Stress Level 3 - High level stress; the essay is something like a week away. Panicking ensures. Rudimentry plan of attack formulated; followed by failure to adhere to it.
    Stress Level 4 - Near-insanity: the essay is due in three days. Mad amounts of notetaking. Spending weekends in libraries. Making of crazy noises and/or jumping around is to be expected. Essay writing skills take a plummet.
    Stress Level 5 - Insanity. The essay is due tomorrow. Gibbering, as the victim realizes at 4am in the morning that he sucks. Crying, gibbering, drinking of Coke are all normal activities at this point.
    Stress Level 6 - Post-insanity. The essay is due in one hour. Frantic catching up, footnoting, double-spacing, and printing.
    Stress Level 7 - Hypothetical level where the victim's head asplodes.

    I'm around 3. :D

    I had to be prescribed anti-anxiety meds for my stress levels. Was around 5 on a good day for months :lol: Really didn't help with my A levels, I'm surprised I passed most of them :shake:

    Heh... I wish I could get my (exam-related) stress neuron circuits to work again. I think I fried them a few years back and I'm running on an awkward "I'm past caring - let's get it over with so I can continue with my life" feeling (on most subjects). This is killing quite a bit of my learning efforts.
    Sure, I still get panic pangs, but in most cases a movie marathon and/or three night hours of mindless gaming fix those.
    When I'm ready for an exam... I'm ready - no need to fret over it.
    When I'm not... well the only person to blame is me. - (Hopefully that situation can be utterly avoided... :p )
    Interest in the matter taught has a far greater influence on my success rate than stress level associated with an exam. Lack of interest = epic fail...

    Finally!

    Yesterday I got a phone call saying I had been allocated accomidation in Kimber House in Southampton and that Salamander will probably be getting the room next to me.

    My mother thinks we should just get the beds in one room and use the second as a craft/work room :lol:

    I've been spending the day writing pacman so that I don't have to go through the rather hellish looking C code that the lecturer gave us to work on. The idea of the assignment is to reprogram the AI of the ghosts so that they hunt pacman properly (using A*).

    So far things have been going rather well. The map is displaying fine, at any rate, and can be easily expanded to add collision detection. For some reason I can't get pacman to display/animate properly though, and it's put a halt to things for today. Perhaps tomorrow ... after I get far, far more pressing stuff out of the way first.

    ION, /me locks herself in a room and starts summoning the Lady for an epic conflict of Powers. Boredom Personified exam (due on the 8th of September) must be a creation of Sloth... it bolsters the ranks of his followers wonderfully.

    Over 500 drug formulas to memorize, and counting... Someone is clearly mad here.
