    You would be correct with this line of reasoning if only we were discussing a LIVING person who was being KILLED by starvation against her will. Such is not the case. We are talking about a vegetable who had no thoughts, no feelings, no hunger or thirst. SHe was a corpse with a heartbeat.


    But the neo-cortex NEVER regenerates anew after being COMPLETELY LOST! And yes it IS certain she felt no pain. Ask any neurologist!


    NO ONE is happy when people are being "killed"! But people are not being "killed" here(not per YOUR implication). They are being euthenized(at worst!).


    The feeding tube is artificial support in the case of a brain-dead individual who can never recover any semblance of thinking-ability. Terri Shiavo was, in essence, a beheaded body whose heart and other functions were kept going through artificial means.

    Even the using the most "advanced" (see: evil) "scientific know-how" (see: blasphemy) we could not save her. Nothing short of divine intervention could save her. Obviously the parents were waiting for that to happen.
