My feeling is that an organization of any sort should focus on self improvement first. Following that, if that organization also feels strongly about a particular issue, they have every right to campaign, legally, for their position. Opposing organizations should also have that right. I suppose picketing is one legal method for doing that, but it tends to draw negative attention and makes the picketers look like obnoxious <snips>. I guess picketing a big business is different in that it doesn't make the picketers look douch-y, but picketing celebrities houses, or religious institutions (Scientologists, for example) or small businesses like strip clubs is ignorant, extreme, and just pisses off the undecided. But I have always thought a letter writing campaign or a boycott would get better results.

I am extremely curious if their actions could be construed in a court as harassment.

It may be that an eyeroll was the correct response as it looks like Sarah's BS detector went off when she claimed to be a teacher. I'm impessed that somehow she knew she was dealing with a fraud.

Why are you surprised? Birds of a kind can readily "detect" each other.

Come on guys. Right or left, teacher or theater tech, this has been a non-story from the get-go. I don't care if this lady lied about being a school teacher and I really don't care if Sarah Palin rolled her eyes at her. Aside from serving as an unnecessary distraction from the topic at hand, this tempest isn't even suitable for a teapot.

Well, Sarah did mention they "had a lot in common."

Drew - We are just playing. The fact is, it's no one's business what she does for a living, especially Ms Sarah's. The protester is clearly an American citizen, going about her guaranteed right under the Constitution of the United States, of expressing her First Amendment right of free speech and freedom of expression. What she does for a living is hardly the point. But freedom of speech is the point.

Well, why couldn't she be a teacher? It's only one of the most common professions out there, especially for women. There are millions of teachers in the US. It's not like she claimed she was a nuclear physicist or something like that.
