She exits the room and walks down the corridor to where she started - now only the corridor of five doors is ahead of her, though, at the end where the stars are is an unusal shadow, could someone be there?

Taking no chances she hurls her dagger at the shadow

 

Rubyne balances her dagger and waits for the shadow to move again, as it does she throws the dagger towards the stairs where the shadow is, she calculated it just right, she heard the dagger chip into the marble and clatter to the ground - she also hears a voice mutter a swearword, she must have missed her target! Rubyne cautiously tiptoes down the corridor until she reaches the middle of it. A man turns around the corner - the shadow was his, he glares at Rubyne with cold, blue eyes - he is holding her dagger, by the looks of it it did cut him on his hand. Rubyne panics - she must get out of here, quick! A door might proove some escape.

She runs like hell going through the door nearest to her.

Rubyne rushes through the third door and slams it behind her, she has entered a bathroom. there is only a small window, she wouldn't get through, there is a steep drop. Rubyne turns and sees the handle turn, she hides behind the door.

 

If there are any hard, loose objects around then she grabs them and aims at the door

 

Rubyne looks quickly around - there is nothing here! The man opens the door and looks around, he steps into the centre of the room and looks around, Rubyne slinks past and out the door, the man yells at her. Rubyne feels a sharp pain across her arm, she turns and looks, she gasps as she sees a large gash she looks fearfully at the man, he has a whip and a smirk onhis face, Rubyne turns tail and runs down the stairs, hse finds herself on a corridor that runs around the walls of the building, you can see across to the other side of the building, as this level doesn't have walls - only railings, there are more steps the other side and two doors on either side of her

 

If the stairs lead down then she races for them. If not then she barrels through one of the doors

 

Rubyne races for the stairs she gets about halfway there when she hears:

"If you run you won't get away, you know." Rubyne tirns and looks at the man again. He is auntering down the stairs that she came from, Rubyne starts to panic as he comes towards and finds she can't run away!
"Why did you come here? Some stupid dare?" Rubyne shakes her head. The man is walking steadily towards her, she turns to run and she feels a sharp pain across her back - he obviously struck her again with his whip, Rubyne falls over.
"I'll give you a chance, girl, a game, you have an hour to explore the house - then you leave, go!" He turns on his heel and seems to almost disappear. Rubyne stands up, and breathes deeply trying to calm down, she would have to explore for the hour - she feels he'd punish her for not doing so - she could enter one of the four doors - but which one? 1, 2, 3 or four?

 

She goes through door three

 

She shakily opens the door and enters - it is a guests bedroom, there is a bed, a open wardrobe that is empty, and a dressing table - on the table in the corner there is a chest though, and under the bed a small box is poking out.

 

Rubyne is a little dissapointed, hoping she would have seen a lifetimes' supply of thieving kits behind door number three, but she takes what she can get. The box poking out from under the bed catches her eye the most.

Not that Rubyne believes in the bogeyman or anything, but she's going to check for traps before leaning down and grabbing the box.

 

Rubyne begins to pull the box from under the bed after checking for traps (there was one on the box that she had disarmed) as she pulled the box there was a prickling on the back of her neck and she realised that even though she was curious she didn't really want to open the box, it was a very big box - under the bed it had looked small and friendly, but now, anything could be in it. Rubyne sat on the bed and chewed her lip as she looked at the box, she looked towards the chest - it looked a lot friendlier. Though she wanted to see in both - she checked the pocket watch - she had 50 minutes left, but she better decide soon - she wanted to see the other rooms too.

 

Deciding that someone would put more valuable stuff in a chest, she turns her attention towards it. She hopes that whoever owns the chest would be kind enough to not lock the chest for intruding burglars.

 

Rubyne steps over the box and opens the chest - inside are eight pearls of varying colours - Rubyne smiles and takes them

Rubyne has 45 minutes left - perhaps the box now?

 

Is one of these pearls 8people?

Rubyne turns toward her attention towards the box, hoping for an equally fabulous treasure.

 

C'Jakob -

Rubyne glides over to the box and pries off the lid, there is cloth in there, Rubyne draws back the cloth and screams.

Inside the box is Gordon - stone dead. Rubyne screams and runs from the room - slamming the door behind her, she tries to calm down but it takes a while.

Rubyne has 25 Minutes left - hurry up

 

8people - takes 20 minutes to open a box, remove a lid, and discover a body?

Rubyne fidgets nervously. She decides to hurry to room number four, take whatever decent is in there, then get the heck out of this place before her time is up.

 

Haha! I knew opening that box was going to be a scream!

 

Rubyne turns to door number four. She reaches out and turns the handle - she can't grab it, Rubyne stands back and looks at it - then she realises - it isn't a door, it's a painting.
