    I'm happy at the way V is developing lately. That's some real character development, right there. Now, if you could actually have such developments in a D&D game, maybe I'd play it more.

    No, in D&D, it depends on dice rolls. Suppose Kubota made his Save vs. Fort - that wouldn't have been a nice dramatic scene, now, would it?

    "It depends on the DM!"

    IIRC, even with the save against Disintegrate, the target takes some heavy damage. If Kubota had survived, I'm sure V could have found some other spells in his/her repetoire to eliminate the near-helpless victim.

    V is sliding toward evil! Though I have to say, Elan's behaviour is rather odd for a Chaotic Good -- he should be able to justify his actions to himself as serving the greater good, especially when the person being killed is obviously evil. Why he suddenly has such compunctions about lying is beyond me.

    "Sneak attack, B****!" was said many, many times by Haley (specifically every single time she fights her nemesis). I don't think anyone other than Haley ever swears though.

    I think the only reason we are not going to see an exponential increase in the number of dead stick bodies is because there can't be that many thieves in a guild after Haley's stand.
