Thais, actually our group was considering some requiem-ing, but we dropped the idea in the last moment. Pity, that... although I preferred the system in Masquerade a bit more. Now it seems a little bit limited (not to mention that protean seems a bit too strong initially).
Anyway, why do adventurers seem not to be afraid of undead... well, for one thing, I suppose they are rather common. After all, it's not such a big thing to be resurrected yourself (chances are, the cleric in a neighboring town can do it). Another... Adventurers, at least as was so masterfully depicted in a 2nd edition DM book, are a bit more experienced than normal people. Even a 1st level fighter is someone who doesn't just know which end of a sword stabs people, but has had a lot of experience with weapons and probably enemies, as well (I think most people are 0 level, iirc). A 1st level cleric is devoted to his/her deity enough to warrant, small as they are, instances of divine intervention. So it only makes sense that they don't fly off the handle at seeing a skeleton - no more, at least, than seeing a blood-splattered troll clubbing someone with a torn human limb. Or simply a hellhound (angry large dogs are bad enough for most people even without breathing fire).
