  1. [IMG] To return to what the Topic was originally about "The Ethics of Napster"
    The artists ethics do have alot to do with this.

    It doesnt matter if it is illegal(note this does not mean that I condone illegal activites) It will be copied and everything still.

    Laches, Permission does not make everything ok. Granted your points are valid.
    And individual ethics do play apart in the copyright laws. If one person feels someway about somehting someone else will to. I dont condone Sites that allow you to DL music or whatever, even though I do DL music from them, but I have never downloaded an entire album, I have not enough room, nor would I want it cluttering up my harddrive.

    Im not goin to post any more in this thread, I see no reason to annoy myself further.
    {note: im only talking about a specific person's posts and lack of broadmindedness}

    First, I'd like you all to read Laches' above post.

    I'm not quite sure I know what you mean by that, DeBhall.

    [IMG] Well to be very blunt, you're just digging your own grave.

    The forums ARE open for any and all discussion, with the exception of arguing with the administrators or moderators. You will also find this in our forum rules, outlined in bold red even. (You really should have read those by now.)

    Like it or not, we are, and will continue to be, the judge, jury and executioners of power & law on these boards, as we see fit. If you don't like it, that's fine, no one's forcing you to stay.

    As for what I don't like, I would put your holier-than-thou attitude in the first place. Because frankly, I do not believe that you are so devoid of all guilt that you could be pointing fingers at anyone, let alone me.
