    Just saw Beowulf.

Never seen that before, but it was much better than I expected.

Of course there was quite some deviations from the original poem, but it didn't mattered for me.

Cool animation and some actors who knew how to voice act.

Dogma. Parts of it were hilarious, others were... not so funny. Alan Rickman was great as usual.

Toy Story and Toy Story 2 in 3-D... pretty good, although the 3-D wasn't that noticeable. I loved the references to Star Wars, and #2 was very funny. Ah, nostalgia.

Rocky V. I hadn't seen it in a long time and now I'm really in the mood to watch the others.

I saw Righteous Kill last night. Ugh... The script was horrible. People say "Wow, Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino were really good!". Why? They didn't have any characters to go on. They just made good facial expressions I guess...

    /end rant

Capitalism: A Love Story -- Michael Moore writes interesting movies IMO. He's patently biased and doesn't always present everything honestly, but he's completely open with his position and he raises some very interesting points.

Oooo, we did the Boston premiere of that at our school, dmc. The theatre was beyond capacity; it was great! I didn't watch it of course, but I heard it was decent.

Carrie (1976) - well made horror movie. I mean, it wasn't particularly scary, but it was very clever in the way it was made (and god damn were there a lot of phallic symbols in there!).

Just went to see Zombieland. Best movie I've seen in the cinema in ages!

I discovered the profound wonder that is Finding Neverland. Slow paced drama, but it certainly struck a chord, not to mention Johnny Depp is exceptional.

Also went to see Couples Retreat; thoroughly entertaining. Kept me laughing for a good portion of it.

I remember that! Saw it a looooong time ago. Could never figure out if it was a Bond parody, a self-parody, or if it was meant to be taken seriously. It was hilarious regardless

The Empire Strikes Back... the original version! Well, as close to original as can be... it is the 1990 edition.

The remastered 2004 editions are much much prettier, but there are a few things that are much better about the original - Boba Fett's old voice for one.

Last night, I saw Tropic Thunder. I really laughed through the whole thing. I thought it was good! :)

A lot of visual references to Apocalypse Now, Platoon, Saving Private Ryan. And suprisingly a lot of known actors in small roles.

    Ice Age 3. Loved it.
Paranormal Activity. Thought it was only mildly decent, despite its good reviews. I guess it's best for people who can relate with that kind of reality setting.

The part that I liked best was the finding of the burnt picture, which was unexpected. Scariest part too.

@Triactus: Tropic Thunder is cool, I love the fake trailers at the beginning especially the one with Kirk Lazarus.

I've just watched Witchfinder General with Vincent Price. Weird movie but definitely worth watching.

The Terminator... Man that movie looks so 1984. I don't think it has aged that well.

Also watched The Last Legion, great cast, really bad movie. Aishwarya Rai is incredibly beautiful though but that doesn't make up for all the bad things in that movie.
