    I hope that doesn't throw anyone off...it's not an obscure one by any stretch. It's fairly recent and had a major theatrical release, and stars A-list people.

    I knew...KNEW...someone would guess that, but no. Came out around the same time though.

    nope and nope. some hintage: the movie came out just before the matrix and in fact a lot of the props/sets (rooftops, etc) were used in the matrix.

    its very similar to the matrix with the whole "implanted memories" and "chosen one" themes. it was more of a psychological mystery/thriller than an action film though

    nope, getting further away.

    last hint: a really good way to describe this movie is that it's a mix of the matrix and the 13th floor with the whole "created city" and "implanted memories" themes. it was also released in 1998.
