    No it isn't from Spaceballs.

    Edit: As an explanation for my earlier clue, the movie in question was shown on an episode of Mystery Science Theatre 3000.

    If you are not familiar with this show, what they do is buy the rights to a cheap and very bad B movie and show it with an audience consisting of a guy and a couple of robots showing at the bottom of the screen. The audience spends the entire show mocking the film.

    Watching MST3K always gets me a little nostalgic - it is pretty much the same as what my friends and I used to do during my university years. :)

    I Googled it out of impatience, and it's fair to say that the answer to your question is no.

    To quote an Amazon review: "The movie itself lives down to every expectation you might have, in a gleeful disregard of plot, acting, characterization and sense."

    Also, it's directed by "the Spanish Ed Wood" *shudder*

    The North American title is an exercise in pure stupidity too. It makes the film sound like an Invasion of the Body Snatchers rip-off when it is actually a really bad E.T. rip-off.

    Actually, six of the various international versions of the title actually contain E.T. or some fully spelled out variation.

    Trumpy (the name of the alien who is befriended by the annoying little boy who said my quote) is included in another of the titles.

    I will of course accept any one of these variations. ;)

    Still, my favourite moment has to be in the MST3K episode when, after the annoying little boy asks Trumpy one of his stupid questions (I think it is the one I quoted but I am not quite sure), one of the MST3K robots pipes in, in a highly irritated tone, "He doesn't speak your language, dickweed!" I was watching it with my brother and we both just about died laughing. :lol:

    I'm confused as to whether this has been guessed or not yet. Is the answer MST3K or is it something else with ET in the title that we haven't guessed yet?

    If so, how about "ET: The Return"?

    No it hadn't been guessed yet - MST3K is a t.v. show that the movie was shown on.

    As far as ET: The Return is concerned - close enough. One of the titles was The Return of E.T.

    The North American title was The Pod People. As the MST3K guys observed - "Your movie is called Pod People. It has nothing to do with pods, it has nothing to do with people, it has everything to do with hurting!"

    It was also know as Tales of Trumpy, Extra Terrestrial Visitors, The New Extraterrestrials etc. etc.
