From what I've heard of this- someone else actually took it to court, and not only did they not win their case, but the judge [according to my sources] is quoted to having called them "blithering idiots" and threw the case out and demanded that they pay restitution for tarnishing the movie's name, plus court fees.

I've heard this from several people, I was just wondering if anyone had any other info on this.

If we follow their logic (in the loosest sense of the word) then the US better look out. Prince Charles will soon rule the world!!

 

Make a seperate spam collecting account? OK by me just give their mail address so I can test their intelligence

I think they should be consequent and ban the words Center, Trade and World as well.

Or maybe we should sue New York for stealing John Ronald Reuel's idea.

If we start to do such things, then maybe they understand their complaints make no sense. But they are probably too stupid for that.

 

I wish all those bastards who are complaining where the once that get killed in those towers.

No seriously may it was tragic what happened, but that doesn't mean the whole world has to change just because America had a bad day! I'm getting sick and tired about the way america thinks they are the best country in the world, I wish the put Bush head on a stick and gave the country back to the natives they have sense.

And I know there are lots of americans that are OK I don't mean to offend them. I just get sick of the attitude of the country that's all.

 

Somebody start a petition to stop them. Who cares! Unless Tolkien was a prophet, these people should be taken out and shot.

I wonder, was there a similar movement back in 1912 against that book that was written before Titanic and had a lot of similarities to the actual disaster - I think it was called "Wreck of the Titan" or something.

Of course, on a (sort of) related subject I've had Tom Clancy's "Executive Orders" for a long time and haven't read it. I was intending to start around September 2001 and just didn't feel comfortable reading that for entertainment after *it* happened. (The book begins with an airliner crashing into the Capitol Building and wiping out most of the US government, for those who aren't aware). I wonder if there was any petition against that book being sold - I did see copies rather prominently on display in an airport bookshop - of all places - last summer, though.

 

How idiotic can people be? This is pure, unadulturated stupidity. I mean, come on! It's a freaking book! A book that was written decades ago! A book that has nothing at all to do with what happened on 9-11. It was sad, yes, we know, we know. Just move on. Good God in heaven, why do you create people to be so dumb, then create even more stupid, sheep-like people to follow them? It boggles the mind.

 

There are always those who see a movie where the fifth person dying is black, as an extreme racistic insult and hateshow. Just as there are always those who think that the right solution for a murder based on a football match would be to illegalize football world wide. People, who think that africans who eat insects for food are barbaric lower-species and are better off for everyone if just slaughtered away. OR... well I can stop it here I guess. For surely you've gotten my point by now.

With 6 billion people living on this planet, there's no doubt as to wether we do or do not have those banded-together individuals who are out to get attention through any means possible and have no consideration for others while doing so. And of course the misguided, confused and mentally disabled (by disabled I do not mean stupid, though surely they are easily manipulated to such actions.. by disabled, in this concept, I mean those who've not had a healthy growth environment or have suffered from dramatic or otherwise damaging incidents resulting to lessened ability to see and evaluate things as they really are) individuals also get highlighted in a world such as this. Often within less than favorable circumstances.

Nothing you can do about it, except laugh or pity. They have more power than many can imagine, I'm sure. But in the end, it's good that some extremists are keeping things in check, even though they might be over-exaggarating things. It keeps the balance up as they say.

 

What a bunch of idiots. Yet another publicity stunt. Did anyone point out that the book was written years upon years ago? Hey, let's ban everything!!

Upon further reading, I laughed most heartily. The book was written how many years ago? And second of all, the site could be a parody meant to evoke a reaction from you over-reactionists at sorcerers place. I would do that if I had no life and lots of time and waited a long time for my joke to come to fruition. Alas, what else have I to say? Merry belated orthodox christmas.?

 

Well, it is a very delicate subject for the Americans, understanderably; however the book was written ages before 9:11, so I don't really think there is any need for the protest.
