    Thanks Master Leo. Pretty nice. The topic was started by Obsidian on October 2nd, and to date the only follow up is related to SLI set ups, which doesn't apply to me (or most, seemingly). As I recall, the opening section is where I got the best FPS on my previous attempt at this game, and it kind of went downhill from there.

    And since Obsidian can't see fit to respond to this issue, I certainly can't see fit to buy their expansion, only to relive the frustrations of my last run through. Okay, granted, the game is sure to run light years better than it ever did on my Alienware machine, but still. There are plenty of other less frustrating games out there for me to enjoy on my new system. Perhaps I'll give NWN2 another look at some point in the future, but the deja-vu factor is a little too high at present.

    The 1.1 patch has been available since MotB release, iirc replacing the 1.07 patch which never reached us. If you were playing 1.0, you had no patches installed at all ;) We are now on 1.2 as of a few days ago. And I'm not sure if the graphics software improvements were available for non MotB players as I installed it a scant few hours after it was released in UK :p

    I figured out that I was using what Obsidian or the community, or both, collectively decided to call the "1.1 patch" after visiting to the Bioware boards. My actual patch version is "1.0.10.116," which logic would dictate should be called the 1.0 patch, since the first 3 characters in the patch are "1," "." and "0," respectively. Or at least, the 1.0.1 patch. But apparently logic did not win out on this one.

    So yeah, I'm using the "1.1 patch" (quotes intended to indicate sarcasm).

    I'm not sure about NWN2, but with the expac installed, the latest MOTB update is 1.11, not 1.2, at least that's what it says on my updater as I just tried updating and it told me there were no new patches.

    Apologies, 1.11 not 1.2. Easy to get confused :p Seriously guys, just read the news :p chev and I report on all the NWN2/MotB patches when they come out ;)
