Fighter based team Tiamat? You have taken your first step into a larger world. After a long personal debate, I agree with Tjekanefir choose to say that Jaheira is in fact a better Tank than Anomen. I'll Have to admit that I should dump Anomen. Since you PC dont have any thieves abilities I'll suggest to bring Nalia along untill you release Imoen. Or Jan if you get sick of her poor skills. he has his thief class active.

As the 6th character? Take Minsc or Vally. Give in to aa complete TANK party

Give your specialist mage a few levels as a thief first--put the points into traps and locks--and you can save yourself the slot Nalia or Jan would have had to fill. They're both pretty weak characters combat-wise and I doubt you want to add them to your party mix if you're already wishing you had more fighters.

Jaheira has negative plane protection, IIRC, so she can prevent if not cure. And you >usually< know when you're going to be facing multiple vampires, so it's easy to stock up on restoration spells ahead of time. Besides, doesn't your PC cleric-ranger have restoration spells?

If lots of restoration spells are a high priority for you, though, you could keep Anomen and sub Jaheira for Mazzy. Thus you would still add the female love interest who kicks butt competently, and Anomen talks a lot less to a male PC, so he may not annoy you as much. A ranger/cleric, Keldorn, Anomen, and Jaheira make a very dangerous fighting foursome, and then Imoen and the sorcerer can fire off missiles and spells from behind. A good combination.

 

Heloo isn't this getting a little of topic? My party is levelling up plenty while kicking trolls arses in de'arnise keep.

I think I'll replace him with Jaheira. I don't really need druid spells, though, my ranger-cleric actually will get all of them (that's the nice thing about 'em . Why have a fighter-cleric when you can have a ranger-cleric?), but I could use a strong fighter. Maybe I'll take Valygar. But I don't think I'll go for an *all-fighter* party yet. I'm not THAT good.

Jaheira's druid spells give her an advantage whether you use her for things like "insect plague" or not. Ironskins make her a combat titan. (-:

 

I played an almost all fighter party on my first run through bg1. this was becasue i hadn't mastered spells, i thought they were 1 use till i read the manual and i didn't realise how to remove locks and traps. Bonzo kicks door open kills people kicks lock of treasure chest. Bonzo opens treasure chest -trap activated- Bonzo takes 500 dmg. Bonzo dies, load/quit.

 

Is Bonzo Duharrel's brother?

 

Well, I'm quite good with spells (it comes of playing a sorcerer) so that's not my problem. I just want to try something different.

 

Only on his first run through bg1 was Lazy Bonzo similar to duharrel.
