I slept for 12 hours last night instead of doing work. Boy do I feel great!

Now I just need to catch up on all my work :p

I enjoy throwing knives (at a target, not at my furniture) my grandma actually taught me how to throw them. It's a rather relaxing activity.

I used to be pretty good at throwing axes when I was in scouts. I had the opportunity to try again this past summer...and holy F*** I sucked. Out of 10 tries, I only got one axe to stick, and it was at the very bottom of the target. All the other axes hit the target with pretty much every part of the axe *except* for the blade.

Now, if throwing axes is anything like bowling, I get better depending on my level of inebriation....so let's get drunk and throw some axes!

Whereas getting drunk and throwing axes with Kitrax sounds like a very enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.

Actually, that sounds like a right laugh. Just as long as I don't become the target :p

I have too many games to play through right now. I seem to end up not getting anywhere with any of them and it's kind of annoying. Maybe I need to wipe a few off my PC, limit myself to 2 or 3 at a time. But which ones? Argh.

Hell yeah! A few weeks back, we went out the middle of nowhere, got drunk and used our empty cans as targets. 3 guys + loads of booze + 5 guns + 10 square miles of nothing = one hell of a good afternoon!

I know the feeling. I'm still playing DAO, and I've got ME2 and BS2 waiting to be opened. :bad:

I can wholeheartedly agree with this one. Except 4 guys and 7 guns :p

    Less square mileage though.

Sorry to be Debbie Downer here, but alcohol + firearms = bad. You probably increase your chances of harming yourself or someone else twenty times over by combining the two. :(

Speak for yourself. There's a bar near where my wife was raised that is a bar, ammo shop and fish bait seller ... all in one. You be drinking your beer while shopping for ammo.

Might be safe to shop for ammunition while drinking, but to discharge it is another matter ... :p

Also, drunken fishing is a hazard to humanity, but shopping for fish bait while drunk is okay.

Actually, that would be a good thing as long as the damage is confined to other idiots with guns...

Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. If there's a room full of drug dealers with guns and one accidentally lets off a round, it always passes harmlessly through their midst, through two windows, over a stone wall, and under a moving semi-truck to strike the innocent sleeping four year old across the street and two blocks down. It's like a special law of the universe or something.

    Questions:
#1 - Have you ever shot a gun?
#2 - Does you country have a death grip on your balls when it comes to anything relating to guns?
#3 – Has your country’s anti-gun propaganda honestly made you live in fear of guns?
#4 – Would you rather get drunk and play with swords…or kitchen knives…or a baseball bat?

We may have been drunk, but we still practiced firearms and range safety. All 3 of us had been shooting guns since we were able to hold one. There wasn't any, "Let me put this gun, that I think is unloaded, up to my head..." kind of moments. Even when drunk, if you keep the weapon pointed down range, keep the safety on and your finger off the trigger until you're ready to actually shoot something, you'll be just fine.

Unlike Archer's .25 cal Underwear Gun, guns don't have a tendency to, "Just go off at any time......for like....no reason at all...."

    Hmmm...I don't remember seeing you there..... :p

@Kitrax, I'd be happy to answer your questions, but I feel like I'd be co-opting Random Babbling (even moreso than I already have ;)) if I took it any further here. If you'd care to start a new Alleys thread or ask a mod to separate the pertinent posts, I'll join you there.
