No chance for me for all 5, but I would guess as The Alamo for one.

I can name four The Alamo, The Shootist, The Sands of Iwo Jima and The Cowboys. The last one I always remember an interview with Laura Dern being so surprised that her dad gets to kill Wayne but shoots him in the back!

Carc -- good guess (but then EVERYONE caucasian dies in The Alamo...).

I guess there are no JW fans here....

He gets shot in three, blown-up in two, drowns in one, and dies of old age in one.

I wondered if the one where he played Genghis Khan was one of them (I remember hearing about him playing Genghis Khan, but I don't remember the title...)

The Rooster never died -- not in True Grit and not in Rooster Cogburn and the Lady.

Alright ... fine ... nobody has seen The Fighting Seabees, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, or Donovan's Reef....

    Chemistry then!!!!

Why is the symbol for Tungsten a W?

@T2 Where does he die in Donovn's reef he gets married to the daughter of the company and gives the bar (aforesaid Reef) to Lee Marvin. I don't remember him dying in that one I thought it was the diving one with Stewart Grainger and James Mason where he drowned. I haven't seen the Fighting Seabees and I forgot  Liberty Valance with Jimmie Stewart.

You're right Donovan's Reef was the comedy with Lee Marvin (great comedy and funny fight scene). How could I confuse that with Reap the Wild Wind (I hang my head in shame...). I just found an eighth movie -- Wake of the Red Witch, he dies in the exact same way as in Reap the Wild Wind (drowning while exploring a sunken ship, it slids off a reef into deeper water).

Ah well, Jhonka has it. Wolfram is German.

Eh? I had assumed that kuemper was close enough. Oh well...

Here's any easy one, because I'm tired and I'm watching the Food Network.
What is the name of the "battlefield" featured in the TV program Iron Chef?

    kitchen stadium.

    as for iron chef,
it is a japanese cooking battle (not competition) show. Everything is on the line, family, honour, reputation of cooking sects etc (i am not kidding). That's why i said is a battle not competition. You can watch the show in food network in u.s. else .... i think one of the weekdays, 4,5 or 6pm, channel 5, singapore.

The show is entertaining but not authorative. The judges are not your most professional ones. 1st, you have at least 2 guest judges each episode. Guest judges range from small time female actress to baseball team coach. There is a permanant judge who is a fortune teller.

The witch doctor in Warcraft 3, if you click him many times, you will hear something like "fukui san, what the witch doctor is doing ...... mmmm delicious" that's a reference to iron chef.
In order of the sticks, origins of PCs, there is a iron mage story arc about the origin of V.
