University library toilet, best place in campus, quiet environment, lots of reading material off the shelves. Reading newspaper? hell, i am reading Shakespeare.

In our master bedroom, I can easily swing our TV around and if I leave the door open, I can watch TV from the pot.
In college, I've written papers on the toilet. Just bring my laptop in and type away.
I'm with apeman at times, if it smells bad, there are sometimes you just need to get out as quickly as possible. Everyone does not like their own brand.
I've always wondered one thing, how come when you're done, even when you know you are done, you still will sit there for an hour even? And when you're wife asks if you are ok, you always give the same response, "Just having a little trouble, be out in a few."
Of course the best times are when you get a chapter read and you have a hollywood finish when you go to wipe!

You crap with the door open !?! What if some one walks in
I finished 'The Hobbit' primarily in the loo. But if I stay in for any length of time someone or the other can be sure to come knocking.
Ever happen that you are in the loo, no one else in the house and the bell rings. :bang:

I've tried playing cards (the real 52 deck) before, but it doesn't work. Usually the counter next to the sink is wet, so the cards get ruined.

Sometimes I leave the door open too like Elios, but not to watch TV or anything. Just an odd habit with no reason. I guess you could argue that it helps aerate the smell, but usually it's not that bad in the first place.

I usually sings, really loud, for a few minutes. It's really funny watching the people's faces in school when I walk out.

Have been doing that for at least seven years. No wonder I was the kid who was picked on in school.

I usually read or play games on my mobile phone regardless of whether I'm in public restroom or at home. Occasionally though, if I'm in a public facility and I've been shopping, I'll perusae my purchases.

Back to what Arahar said. Why is it that the phone always rings when you're using the can?

    You people are weird.

Taking a dump is something you should focus on, not be distracted by a book or somesuch idiocy. Immerse in the magnificent sensation that ejecting feces out of your anus is.

Nothing wrong with reading a book in the loo. It's just good use of a quiet time. I'd be worried your mind can't deal with doing two such simple things at once.

And that is why most men I know use the bathroom as their 'study' - no-one is going to bother them in there and so they can get all sorts of things done.

Ah, my throne, my sanctuary, my area to contemplate life. You are home to my Gameboy, a novel, a school textbook, and occationally an mp3 player. Smell is never an issue, as im quite desensitized to my own noxious aroma. There's no better place to be to avoid the outside world (unless of course, you use wireless networking, or cell\cordless phones...). My only beef is the seat, as no matter how i sit my butt will eventually become numb... and the sensation of hearing poop plop without feeling it get released is a little too much for me. So yeah, on topic, anything entertainment wise is welcome in my biffy, it's just a matter of ignoring the growing ache's as hours pass by.

One question though, does anyone take... food... into the bathroom? Be honest ya wierdo's ;)

omg I thought my family was the only one that does this, but I have finally found someone else! We use toilet paper for kleenex, napkins and the usual, but of course we don't mix them up. It's quite awkward when guests come over and we hand them toilet paper at the dinner table. They just look perplexed at first, but when they see us use it, they figure it's clean enough and that's all that matters.

About food: No, I haven't eaten and crapped at the same time. I do have to carry everything with me at all times when I go out, so technically I do have my lunch with me in there. Maybe when I get really hungry... but I probably wouldn't do both at once still.
