    The 'supposedly horror film' that you are referring to septic, is final destination and it actually freaked me out cos i have a thing about death...but that's just me, anyway:

    I have to agree with your list. The only change I'd make is the movie Seven. It seemed to me that the movie was just using shock value to entertain the audience. That is all fine and dandy, but you also need proper characters. I thought Brad Pitt sucked in this part, he just wasn't believeable as a forensic detective. He was just too stupid and ridiculous. Too bad cause the movie could have been ok.

    Strange, Brad Pitt won most of his fame being a pretty boy, but I like him in his dirt-bag roles. Anyone see:
    True Romance: Christian Slater, Brad played a druggie named Floyd.
    Kalifornia: Juliette Lewis, David Duchovny, Brad played a redneck psychopath.
    Just saw the movie 'Snatch' was pretty good.

    As for my list of favorites I would also add:

    A Few Good Men,
    As Good As It Gets: I love Jack Nicholson, Greg Kinear was good too.
    The Princess Bride: "Inconceivable"
    Braveheart
    Apocolypse Now: I hated it when I was a kid, just rented it recently, pretty good stuff.
    Red Violin: Samuel L. Jackson. That is one mysterious instrument, alot of physics involved.
    Aliens
    The Sound of Music: I hate to admit it, but I watch it every Christmas.
    Life is Beautiful: One sad film.
    Last of the Mohicans: awesome wilderness scenery.
    Gladiator: Great on DVD
    Battlefield Earth: Just Kidding, I haven't even seen it yet.

    [​IMG] Ugh! My dad got a DVD player for Xmas, so I went up last weekend with a movie. His choice: Battlefield Earth!

    Every bad thing you've ever heard about it is true. Half of the actors looked like they were going to fall off their stilts! Then I spent more time explaining the storyline to everyone, than I did watching the movie. No one could follow the plot.

    Bad, Bad movie...

    Dumb and Dumber: too funny, my wife hates it that I can relate to most of the humour.
    Ferris Bueller's Day Off: Classic humour
    Contact: A bit slow, but I like Jodie Foster, and the movie idea was neat.
    Scent of a Woman: Pacino is great. "I'd take a flame thrower to this place!"
    Bridges of Madison County: I hate saying it, but I thought it was well done. I like both Eastwood and Streep.
    The Professional: Apparently there is an uncut international version that I haven't seen yet. Gary Oldman is very good.
