I would like to see Psionics dealt with as well. I'm not sure if making a specific class is the best method but I sure would accept Psionics in any way and any form that the game designers came up with.

I really HATE Illithids and Mind Flayers but all those attacks: Brian Devour, Ego Whip, Psionic Blast, etc. sure would be nice to have on a character.

I also would like to see some sort of GIANT race/class. Such as 'Half-Giant'. Only the lesser ones however, such as Hill, Stone perhaps Frost. That would be trick.

I would like to be a vampire, because of it's level drains. But, and it's a great but, I couldn't go shoping anywhere, because shops aren't open at night, and at day...
I think you know what I mean ;)

well i would like to be something called a dragoon. not a man on a horse, no it's something much more mythical than that. it is a very powerful warrior with the spirit of a dragon. every time you hit an enemy in your mortal state you gain spirit points. after a certain amount of them are collected you get to turn into a dragoon. now a dragoon is a super powerful being. when you change to a dragoon you call on the insanity of war and murder to change into a dragoon. the dragoon changes the armour of the char to a more stronger and durable (don't 4get more pretty armour) armour. the weapon you wield will become the arcane weapon of the dragoon and will resemble the origanal weapon still. you also have the ability to fly due to wings as well that grow from your armour and allow you to reach tremendous speeds in air. when you change you get the ability to send most powerful spells and magic that are like torrents from hell compared to the magis of faerun. I was just thinking that it would interesting to have your char somehow defeating amazing monsters and not know how. he/she could also have no indication from where and when they come from. so you could suddenly change during the game due to a major plot in the game, mabey a close freind in your party dies or one of your loved dies, and then like bg2, could choose 2 dif routs in the game. you could choose to become a god and rule over the pitiful mortals, or become our savior and protect us. dragoon also get the ability to control the dragon of their nature (fire=red drag wind=green drag etc), and have amazing spells to go with the element. as you progress through the game you might find that dragoons are starting to apear quite randomly to fight a new menace (i.e john back from the grave with the evil bhaal spawn that have been resurected or something) and mixed with your heritage and the dragoon you have the right to destroy them or join. by far and far i think it sounds like a decent char class, but sorry for the fact that i got a bit carried away with the hole storyline thing.

Extremist: SK can do that, only much easier, than sitting and Hexing all night.

Lothar: I belive the one you're thinking of is called "The Council of Wyrms".

But back to the subject, I would like being a Minotaur as well, and also a Vampire but nothing i write haven't been written before so thats it for now.

What about a human being from the 20th Century accidently gated into the Forgotten Realms?

    1. A Navy Seal with a machine gun! (Rate of Fire: 1000 rounds a minute, 1d12+5 damage a bullet!)
    2. A Scientist who "discovers" new things like the lightbulb or gunpowder or a cell phone (no more torches, crossbows and scrying devices needed!), makes a fortune, and hires adventures to complete his quests for him!
    3. A Heavy Metal rocker with an electric guitar! His music will cause confusion and dire charm on those who hear it (no save). Now imagine if his band came along with him!
The youth of Faerun would go nuts!

    ... you get the picture.

Would minature Smoke Powder Arquebuses exist in the Forgotten Realms? After all, they've been fitting them onto ships and it's only a matter of time before they make rifles. Then it'll be a matter of see Drizzt, shoot Drizzt, the hell with his sword skills.

This whole fantasy would would fall apart if guns were introduced to it. Well actually there ARE guns in it (I know that Mechanus invented pistols) but I think they were banned all over Faerun. Interesting thought though.

Who knows if mithril chain can block bullets?

What? Guns were invented? When? Where? Damn, I hope they KEEP keeping it out. imagine if you were reading about Khelben "BlackStaff" Arunsun's death because he couldn't block mp5 bullets with his... uh... staff.

A fighter that specialises in a smokepowder rifle would be cool. He could have a saber and be just like a musketeer. The smokepowder rifle could be long in reloading, expensive to maintain and takes a long time to aim and shoot. In D&D, it'll simply be a buffed up crossbow.
Of course, when you bring in MP5s, it just spoils the whole fantasy setting.

Why the nine hells would anyone bother inventing gunpowder in a fantasy setting? Magic turns everything we hold dear about the real world on its head, time stop - yep, anti-grav - yep, superluminal travel, teleportation even - no big deal. Real world technology, which is constrained by a system of silly little arbitrary laws we call "Physics" is useless in comparison. Protection from normal missiles and not even an ICBM can hurt you. Also, firearms are cowardly weapons, therefore no true hero would use them, and people who aren't true heroes never last long.

Ironbeard . . . aren't you a crossbow using dwarf? Is there much of a difference between a PO'd Dwarf and Rambo??? The elves drew first blood! This is their war! ;) :D

Seriously, early firearms could add character to the game. If you've seen the Three Musketeers Movie, or Man in an Iron Mask, you'll see single shot weapons suplementing swordplay.

Also, with a critical miss, the weapon would probably blow up in your face. With a save, you'd recieve 1/2 damage.

This wouldn't work for every campaign, but then again, neither do martial arts or psionics. In a campaign based around this theme, you could have a lot of fun!

For gunpowder and stuff mixed with magic and swords I suggest you use your favorite search engine to find something about a game (not released yet as I know):
Arcanum: of steamworks and magic obscura

That game is product of people who were involved in making Fallout.

I would like to play any kind of giant and damn the intelligence and charisma penalties.
Good work shura for calling that guy out on ripping off legend of dragoon and acting like it was his own idea.
