I've just been busy...I started a new lawyer gig a few weeks ago, and I don't really have time to post as much as I did before.

Well between yerill and tiamat my feelings fall quite neatly between. I came here orginally for BG1 and then i posted in BG2. I moved on to IWD1 and then when these forums were at a lull i moved into whatnots and loved it. However sometime after this (after the dissapointment of NWN which caused me to avoid the NWN boards almost completely). Around this time whatnots was getting chugged up with all the political 12 page arguments and so forth. I would always start to read these with a reply in my mind but by the time i'd got halfway the topic had degenerated and/or someone had said exactly what i was going to say, also a lot of people only read the last few replies. This was annoying me as my beloved fun filled whatnots was degenerating into  serious topics! as i was starting to despair our saviour, tal, swept down and locked all the serious topics into the Alley and once again freeing up whatnots from this serious threat. Now i can dip into the seriousness if i want to but just hang in the care-free whatnots atmoshpere all i want :)

I think that those who were around for the change accepted it better than those who were away at the time.

I drop in every now and again. I just don't post much. And If I do its most likely in one of the game forums seeking help or adding a comment or two. I too originally came for BG1. However I did get into other games covered on the site which helped to prolong my stay. One thing I noticed from mostly reading peoples posts is everyone is overall well behaved compared to other forums I have seen. This also makes this place more appealing because you don't see too much spamming or fanboy flames which other communities seem to be plagued with. But Change happens and I hope it's for the better.

I agree with Yerril, but in a more literal sense than does Tiamat.

And I'd like to pull rank according to date also, since I wasn't aware I could do that until now. :p

Excepting Sir Belisarius and the Sorcerer himself, of course.

Well, IMO some of the changes have been really degenerating for me, where I'm caught between my mother, who can't stand change, and my dad, who has to change whenever possible. *shrugs slightly* I have changed my interests, and I guess my interests have diverted me away from SP, so I barely check the boards once a week, barely post something once a month. Let the changes excite the new users, because some of the old ones are just not enjoying them as much as they were a year or two ago.

Well I've been here since August 2001 (re-registered to a completely new identity in Jan 2002 for various reasons), and I MUCH prefer the newer users. I remember when every single newbie that came onto the FAI got the 'holier than thou' treatment from some of the veterans, who seemed to think that they had more of a right to be there than the newer users. But that's all stopped now by what i've seen. (Probably because alot of them stopped coming on much).

    [IMG] Z,
Please forgive my ignorance. What is FAI?

    The Chatroom has gone *****?
I can't Honestly say. I am never there anymore. Are you Tiamat? I am not avoiding it cause it ***** but because I don't see why I should chat with ten new faces. I guess the same goes for you Tiamat.

As for the forums. I do miss old posters. But to blame the forum for my feelings? never. To say that our old friends from 2001 were more intelligent and smarter than the new faces from 2002? Pure arrogance.

    EDIT;
And Slim. Shralp is not SP. Get over your  . Shralp loves Dargorn. :p Yes those were the sweet days in 2001. The mean green Poodle and Shralp. Ahh sweet memories. But that is all they are. Memories. As it should be. :)

Thanks for the clarification. I rarely visit the chat room. Not enough time.
I think the boards are as lively as ever. Turnover happens. There are many new members that bring fresh discussion or rekindle old ones.

Personally, I've noticed that the new wave of posters seem to be illiterate. I mean, I don't expect perfect grammar, but writing without capital letters or punctuation? Come on.

Well, if you had been here earlier, you might have raised a voice against splitting up Whatnots. There was even poll for or against it. Ah, that wouldn't have changed much, but you still could have complained about it then instead of now. But I guess it's not your fault, since you were gone. Wait a minute, it is. :D

Elios, I would really like to know why death is not inevitable.
