What was the first PC game you ever played?

Does the old BBC computer count as a PC?
If so, it was either Chucky Egg, or (though it hardly counts as a game) one where there were 4 companies and you had to buy and sell shares in them on a turn basis.

 

It was either Civilisation or Wolf 3D - ah, those were quaint days, when a Phalanx with spears could beat a modern Battleship or Bomber...

Of course, going back to my old C64 roots, I'd have to say The Last Ninja - now THAT was an addictive series, back when everything was pretty much 2D.

 

This is a difficult question.

I guess it was something like "Robot" (I like Robot 3 in particular. I think the setting on the island was great), or the game "Alley Cat". Do you remember that one? It only had 4 colours, and you mostly jumped around. But it was fun anyways.

 

I think it was WarcraftII or Fallout... wow... I think I have them somwhere, time to go fishing for them I think...

 

I really can't recall. Either Dig Dug (aka Digger) or Eagle's Nest. But I could have played something else once or twice before. The first game I played in a continual sense, though, was surely Eagle's Nest.

 

We still have our old computer on which I played my first PC game...it has WIN 3.1 (and still has DOS, of course), and both types of floppy drives. I just have to connect it again.


Come to think of it, I still have my (or rather my mothers. But my sisters and I kind of hijacked it) AMIGA 590...I still use it, and play on it, when I am in the mood.

 

The computer was an Apple IIE, the game was called "Apple-Trek"--a really cheesy Starship Enterprise fights the Klingons, etc. The program was written in BASIC. That was in 8th grade, around 1981-82. Oh, yah, you could play a version of Pong, too.

The first D&D computer game I played was Pool of Radiance on a Commodore 64.

I know there were a ton of games I played before King's Quest, but that's the first one that I can remember. It was DOS system. At that time, I'd be playing my Atari 5200 console since we didn't have a computer, but I got hooked on playing Kings Quest on my dad's office computer. I vaguely remember being able to use an early edition of Norton Utilities to hack into the game...

 

I just remembered that my first game on the AMIGA might have been Lemmings...

We had too many games for the Amiga.

 

Starcraft (still one of my favorite games), before that I mostly play on Super Nintendo.

 

I was a late bloomer and my first PC game was Baldur's Gate. Great start though

 

A game called, Incoming, which I got free with the PC. Although the first decent game was, Rainbow Six. Classic.

 

My first game was on my old laptop a DOS game called Peas. I didn't get to use that laptop a lot, I used to be more interested in writing poems in Word and Mutti kept playing solitaire on it. It got broken but my dad recently restored it and uses it himself. I don't know if Peas is still on it though

When I got my first desktop the first games I played were Petz and Age of Empires. I was about nine at the time, so Petz is allowed I prefer AoE2 now though.

 

On a PC? As on IBM clone? Sopwith was first I believe, tied with Test Drive 2. Then came Prince of Persia. Earlier I had an Atari 130XE, and I can't really recall what was the first game. Probably River Raid (and I believe the LL version), maybe Boulder Dash.

Darn, those were the times... You could play one game over and over and not get bored. Of course, being 8 (in 1989) must have contributed to it, but the games were great.

 

My first game was The Secret of Monkey Island.
And to this day its still my favorite game.
But the first vidoe game ever was Ghostbusters , or Kane on C64 , both very groovy games

 

The good old Wolfenstein 3D

 

Arkanoid on an old Tandy. followed soon by Dig Dug and Test Drive. Test Drive was a lot funner once we figured out you could just outrun the cops.

 

Maybe it was Super Mario on my Nintendo Family Game TV game. Or, Flinstones... Oh, I just can't remember...
