    Fallout remains my favorite. I play it about once a year and still find new things and shake my head in amazement.

    The old SSI Gold Box AD&D games ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_Box ) are what really got me into CRPGs though. Very primitive, of course, but great fun.

    FFVII is awesome. I liked FFX too. FFVIII is okay but I've never managed to get past a certain point without losing interest. FFIX isn't too bad either.

    My vote will go to PS:T though. Aside from the games hosted here on SP, the KotOR series is awesome. Nox is also okay, quite short though and not really very involving.

    Planescape: Torment is zee best.

    Fallout 1 & 2 are very good as well

    Baldur's Gate is also quite nice

    Ditto Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2
