i just finished cloud of sparrows by takashi matsuoka. Not 'Shogun' but certainly a great read. I'm STILL looking for my Otori trilogy  It's gotta be around here somewhere...

anyways, I'm halfway through the Osterman Weekend by Ludlum and after that I'll probably start "Dances with Wolves". Time to see what was so great about that movie :p

The Flood (Second book in the Halo trilogy) is pretty pathetic, compared to The Fall Of Reach. There are some good parts, but they revolve around the marines and the covenant rather than Master Chief.

Just finished Crystal Shard (again) and almost finished Baldur's Gate and still reading Agony and the Ecstasy. Yes I was reading 3 books at once. Will continue with Last Legion ( I began but stopped because of something... can't remember what).

Baldur's Gate ended to abruptly for my taste, also to short.

I wouldn't expect much. imo cormyr:a novel was SO much better than the next 2 books in the trilogy.

I'm just starting Benjamin Franklin - An American Life. Yes, I know you are excited for me Harbour Boy. Although I just recently finished Gordon Wood's The Americanization of Ben Franklin, which was outstanding. BUT, next on my list would have been Passionate Sage: The Character and Legacy of John Adams. However, because of your comments on Erikson, HB, I intend to pick up a copy of Gardens of the Moon. Erikson sounds intriguing, judging from your comments. So the Joe Ellis volume on Adams will have to wait (besides, I've read David McCullough's book on Adams). But still, the Franklin first.

Wow, Chandos, you have to be one of the foremost experts on early American politicians in the world.

You should go to Erikson right away, on par with Martin and Hobb.

For myself I finished Revelation space and it was goodeligoodgood and I am now reading King's Gunslinger, it feels odd. I have never read a King book before.

Just finished the Osterman Weekend by Ludlum. VERY enthralling read and shorter than many of Ludlum's books. I finally found my Across the Nightingale Floor and Grass for his pillow, and I bout Brilliance of the moon this afternoon, so i'm finally going to start reading the Otori trilogy :D They better be good, I passed up on Last of the Amazons by Pressfield and Annihilation from the WotSC to get these first :/

I finished War of Honor this morning. I would have to say that it is the first disappointing book that I have read by David Weber. It was long and almost all talk (mostly dull political nonsense involving the "evil" politicians whom I really didn't care about) with very little action.

Now reading "Hot Springs" by Stephen Hunter. Good, but still doesn't touch "Dirty White Boys". Man, are they going to make that into a movie or what? Definitely one of the most violent books out there.

After my string of Weber novels I figured that some light reading was in order so I have started rereading the Harry Potter series. I have finished the first two and started on the third.

The conclusion to the Otori trilogy was pretty awesome. I'm about to start Last of the Amazons by Steven Pressfield. Can't really get into it like I did with Gates of Fire. I guess it's a Gates of Fire for girls or sometihng :/
