I decided to go for something fluffy so instead of Legends II I decided to start Choosers of the Slain by John Ringo. This series is so over the top and has so little literary value that there are only two possible reactions to it. You can  while chuckling away at it or burn it in disgust.

Which have nothing to do with the game.

I went on a spree Thursday with 20 books from the library! The one that's next is about a psychic detective who is the main suspect for a murder because she knows too many details about the crime. :book:

EDIT: The title is Abby Cooper: Psychic Eye by Victoria Laurie.

I just finished Chooser of the Slain - it is hard to believe but it actually managed to get more over the top as it went along. I guess if being over the top is the main thing that you have going for you then you might as well keep pushing onwards and upwards.

I am leaving for a two week vacation to Eastern Europe tonight so I probably won't be starting anything new until the end of the month.

Well, I just read Without Mercy by Jack Higgins. I find myself annoyed that I read it out of sequence, and therefore was v. out of the loop as to some of the villains and their motivations... but I loved the book. I had been spoiled for a mahjor character death so it did not hit me as hard as it should have, but it still stung.. although I did not particularly like the cgharacter that much.

All in all, it is a good, solid Higgins thriller with everything I love. and LOTS of my favorite charactr, who finally got an official promotion to a Major Character :D I also adored one of the villains, who was slightly less villain-7y, and who, if Higgins remains predictable, will be the hero of another book osmetime in the future.

:thumb: , now, I want more...

Just read The Husband, by Dean Koontz. Good book, I'm a definite fan of his. Can't beat Odd Thomas though.

Now reading the next Priestess of the White book, by Trudi Canavan. Can't remember the name of it. Last of the WIlds, perhaps?

Enag, I just read it. Not bad, tells a lot about Khelben, even though he's not the main character.

Have just read the two frankenstein novels by Dean Koontz. Waiting for the third installment. So I'm just going to read Thud by Terry Pratchett.

@Stardust: I remember reading this a few years ago. It's a great deal of fun until you hit the first equation, and it gets progressively less enjoyable after that. Though considering the material he had to deal with I still think Hawking did a good job with the book

Just finished Blackstaff. Awesome book. Khelben is a way cooler character than Elminster.

Fruits Basket manga. Although I want to read Yakitate Japan, apparently its pretty funny. Can't find any HunterXHunter manga though, which is bad because I watched the anime and the ending was kinda unfinished.
