Just saw it on the Daily Show, so I thought I'd mention it: Greg Bear's Quantico. Almost done; interesting story dealing with political and interdepartmental infighting in the intelligence community and foreign vs. domestic terrorism in a time in the not too distant future.

The last Salvatore book. Its about Entreri. Quite boring really. Salvatore has gone predictable.

which title? Road of the Patriarch? Last one I read was Promise of the Witch-King and that one wasn't too bad.

Anyway I just finished Children of Dune, I think I'll stop the Dune series there. Quite good though.

I just got a slew of new books and I think I'll start with... Fletch and the Widow Bradley by Gregory McDonald.

Just finished 'Imperium' by Robert Harris.

It's the first book of a triology dealing with the life of the Roman politician Marcus Tullius Cicero.
Very well written novel with a very thorough knowledge of the mechanics of politics of the late Roman republic. Strongly recommended for anybody who is really interested in this period. Fans of 'Rome' and the like will most probably be disappointed though.

I am back from my vacation. On the plane trips I read Glen Cook's trilogy of A Shadow of All Night Falling, October's Baby, and All Darkness Met. I found it similar in feel to his Black Company series. It was pretty good although not quite as good as the Black Company books.

    Hellgate: London-Exodus By Mel Odom.

I like it. While some people shun books based on games, this one is worth a read.
