Which book are you reading currently?

I started re reading magician again on monday. I have 20 pages left. I am in Dire need of a new book. Sounds like I'm off to the library this afternoon.

 

Black Falcon, silver wolf by Dennis McKiernan. Also, Voyage of Fox Rider by the same author. After these two I will have read all of his books.

In 2001 I was in Tucson and e-mailed McKiernan saying I would give him skydiving lessons for a signed book. Wouldn't you know it, he e-mailed me back and invited me to his house for lunch. I was at this man's house sitting in his back yard, while he roasted a turkey over an open fire (wasn't for me, but his daughter) His wife, however, made us turkey sandwitches (cold deli style). He was one of the most intelligent men I have ever met. He's close 75 years old, maybe older and still rolls the dice (D&D) often. He was part of the think-tank activities while he was in the military. It was one of the most surreal moments in my life.

Otherwise, I'm brushing up on the David Farland Runelord novels for the release of the fourth installment.

 

I am currently reading Honoured Enemy by Raymond E. Feist and William Forstchen. I am about half way through it and so far I have found it to be rather tame and predictable. Unfortunately, I have the feeling that it will not become any less so.

 

I'm currently occupied with Feists work. I've finished both of the wars and the Krondor series. I'm continuing with the rest.

I'm also waiting for the continuation of Wheel of Time and of A Song of Ice and Fire.

 

I find Feist's stuff overall boring, and only buy them when they're really cheap.

 

I am in the middle of several books right now.

StarTrek the Next Generation: The Death of Princes, by John Peel
Far North, by Will Hobbs
Deathlands: Pony Soldiers, by James Axler
Two Towers, by JRR Tolkien (again)

And for variety;
Ultimate Spider-man: Volume 2 - Learning Curve

 

I am reading "Dude, Where's My Country", by Michael Moore. That and "Stupid White Men" are must-reads for any amongst the enlightened, or who wish to be. But please, everyone, READ ISHMAEL BY DANIEL QUINN. This book will change your life. I beseech you all, READ ISHMAEL BY DANIEL QUINN. It is the most important novel of our generation, and winner of the Turner Tommorow Prize for Literature Addresing Global Problems. It is also the beginning of an excellent series.

I don't have those concerns about books being boring since at the library the books are free. And because of that I read so many books that I don't care if they are boring since otherwise I wouldn't have anything to read. But I try to avoid boring books.

I do agree that Feist's work is very predictable.

 

"The Scions of Shannara" by some guy who I can't remember right now but I'll tell you later. Its very good I highly recommend it.

 

I just finished Jordan's latest and am about to start Feist's latest.

I've just finished reading Eric by Terry Pratchett, not his best, but still very funny.

Now I am reading Fool's Errand, by Robin Hobb, very interesting style of writing, oh and the cover is very beautiful too

 

im going to go on back to soujourn next, since i finished Exile after i came home sick from school.

 

Halfway through Holly Lisle's The Secret Texts Book 1 - Diplomacy Of Wolves. Great so far.

 

I'm finishing Jhereg by Steven Brust... My advice is: When you see it (anywhere - in the self, bin, left in the train) give it a wide berth. Reading it is IMO a waste of time.

 

lol ive read a ton of books like that. im going on to Daughter of the Drow--elaine cunningham i believe.

 

I just started 'The DaVinci Code' last night...So far it's very interesting!!!

 

im moving on back to the sword of truth series tonight, after daughter of the drow is done(dont have much left).

 

Just finished Area 7 by Matthew Reilly, Starting Heresy by Anslem Audley but Dune does look awfully tempting.
