"Nicholas Nickleby" by Charles Dickens, in preparation for the movie version which comes out in a couple of weeks. Lamo story, but some hilarious and memorable characters.

Finished book 3, of the war of the spider queen, Condemnation. Slow starter but very well written except for on big error (which I won't explain or I'll ruin the story)

I am now reading bood two of the death gate cycle called Elvenstar.

I read "Soulforge" by Margaret weis last nnight and boy, do I like Raist :D

I, too, have read the Death gate Cycle... Haplo is totally, totally cool. In fact, the first book of the series, Dragonwing, is the book that I consider to have drawn me irrevocably to the paths of fantasy. Oh, i had read others before it, but Dragonwind took the cake. Even if it's badly written at points... I like it!

@Aikanaro: I've been singing the praises of Harry Turtledove's "Darkness" series since I joined SP. :D #4 FINALLY came out in paperback, and I'm about 1/4 the way through. Makes me want to brush up on my history of WWII.

I am about to start on the Idiot by Fjodor Dostojevski. I am in the mood for something very different from what I normally read. I just finished the Dirk Gently Omnibus and even though I liked them alot the Hitchiker is so much better than Dirk Gently.

I just started reading the last part of Darksword series, Legacy of the Darksword, two days ago. Techonology vs. magic subject in books is quite fascinating.

I am currently reading "Computer: A History of the Information Machine" by Martin Campbell Kelly and William Aspray. I am reading this partly because I can't find any other book to read at the moment and partly because one of the authors is a lecturer on my course, but the book is actually quite interesting. If you want to know how computers got to the position they are in today then this book is well worth reading.

Tess of The D'Urbervilles. If I don't switch to some fantasy soon my brain will melt.

Tal. Don't you hate that when that happens?

I am reading the Unfinished Tales edited by Tolkien's son Christopher. Quite fun. They feel a little stilted though and I am yet to understand time frames and locations, but still a cool read. I love the Old English vocabulary. And the Elvish/Dwarvish stuff.

I am reading THe Sound and the Fury (Faulkner) and it is driving me up the walls!!!

Also just finished Storm of Swords and am impatiently waiting for Martin's next book - I am sooooo tired of waiting for books, I think that I will have to give up reading series or go crazy!
