lol the drow get more evil as exile moves along, dont worry, later when(or if) you read the paths of darkness series(silent blade, spine of the world, servant of the shard and sea of swords...btw does anyone know if thats out yet? last i checked it wasnt but that was quite a while ago)

Sorry this comes late, but better now than never...

Most of thje Star Wars books are set in the time after the original trilogy. The new Jedi Order starts 20 years after The Return of the Jedi. There is a huge load of biooks for the irst 15 years post-RotJ, then we get a bunch of kiddie books fior the next five years timeline-wise, and then the NJO starts. There are some books that are set just a few years before A New Hope, such as the Han Solo Trilogy (not to be confused with the Han Solo Adventures.... *rolleyes*) but most are post-RotJ.

Gah, I rant.

I am now re-reading more of my SW books again... Onslaught by Michael A. Stackpole is in the works.

I almost cried last night when reading the Dark Empire comics and realizing that someone would later die Star by Star. *sniff*

I'm just starting my re-read of the entire Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy series by Douglas Adams. Damn funny!

 

Now reading: A song of fire and Ice: A game of thrones.

Different from what I am used too but I find it refreshing.

 

It will have you hooked in no time Apeman. Which is a good thing really.

 

Exile finished. I already read Sojourn before.

Done reading Silent Blade as well.


Though there's quite a big gap thats missing between silent blade and Sojourn. Icewind dale is inbetween i know, but something more too. mmm?

 

I've just finished "Count Zero" by Gibson and I can recommend it. If you've read the Neuromancer, that's it.

Now I'm moving to Heretics of Dune or umberto Ecco's Name of the Rose(?).

 

Finished The Spine of the world.

Going on to the Servant of the shard.

Too bad i will read it on my comp becouse german Amazon didnt have it

"legacy of the drow" is also in between of sojourn and the silent blade, and you really should read it, for it has many references to the silent blade and spine of the world.

 

De Leeuw van Vlaanderen (The Lion of Flanders) by Conscience.

It's a classic (written back in 1838) here in Belgium. It tells about the events that led to the Battle of the Gulden Spurs (Flanders vs France) and about the battle itself. I didn't have high expectations, but actually it's pretty interesting.

 

oh, Uytunn, is that the battle where the french knights fought flandern peasents armed with pitch forks and pikes?

If you're interested in military tactics that battle surely is interesting

 

Still re-reading NJO: Finished with Onslaught and Ruin, now reading Edge of Victory 1: Conquest.

Why oh WHY dis they have to kill "Jimmy"?

And even worse, why was it leaked out before Star by Star came out... hell, R.A. Salvatore complained about it on the force.net boards as well!

Apparently, I missed the Ringworld Engineers book, so I'll have to read that at some point as well.

 

I'm reading Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere. I've liked it. The idea of bizarre underground London is good.

I think I could finish it tomorrow. I have lots of time for reading, because I'm sick at the moment, and I'm not going in school.

Neverwhere is good. It was the first book I ever read in Finnish, apart for the Aku Ankka comic-book thingies.

Now reading Terry Brooks's Knight of the Word.

Me, I am reading coursebooks right now. But on the "book" side, I am reading Tales from the New Republic... it has some very good short stories, especially the Stackpole/Zahn collaboration.

 

I'm starting a classic this weekend that I've never read:

The Count of Monte Cristo by Dumas

 

It's pretty cool.

Anyways, me has no books to read now. Oh well.
