    If it hadn't been for Nakia's comment (1601-1658 was his timeline) I wouldn't have recognised it for a while but of all his quotes my favourites are

    That is very close to a scripture in one of the later epistles in the Bible (I'd have to dust off my old bible and take hours to find it). So I'll guess Paul since most were written by him (but he wasn't nearly that sappy -- more aristocratic).

    I'm certain it has been used many times in literature and by hopeless romantics as well. If your quote is from someone (perhaps Shakespeare -- either Romeo or Juliette committing suicide) after, say, 40 AD you may want to repost another.
