    Congrats on the wedding plans CD and Tri!

    Some advice for Tri...

    - Don't have too many kids, your arms get tired from all the beatings you will have to give out, fun times! Though if you pick a sturdy branch from a lightweight tree, it won't be so bad on your arms.

    - And now since you won't have to cook, do laundry and clean after yourself, you won't have to worry about hiring a maid AND a having the mistress. You will have a built-in maid, so feel free to spend away on the mistress.

    - As for that strip-club you been wanting to join, she can just work an extra(3rd) job to float your habit.

    You still reading this CD? I thought you would be running away as fast as you could by now....:D

    1) Why beat the kids? Just plug them in front of a video game and you lost them for a couple of hours, meaning until they eat, and then you lose them for a couple more hours. If all fails, just give gifts... :p

    2) Who needs a mistress when the built-in maid is a built-in something else... :banana:

    3) Can you believe I never went to a strip-joint? Honest, never did! However, I might have a corporate share in some bars since I've given them so much money... :D

    Hmmm...It's my 3rd and final day off of the weekend, I woke up at 2:30pm even though I went to bed last night at 1:30-ish. I don't have to do a damn thing all day except work on my car once my buddy gets off work.

    The moral of the story??? Ummmm....go me! :grin:

    Some chicks like a challenge... :evil:


    In other news...Dell must have laid off pretty much every employee in the laptop assembly and finance department. I ordered my *lightly* customized Studio XPS laptop on April 14th...and the expected ship date is May 5th...at which point I still have to wait for 5-7 business days for shipping. I still haven't been charged for it either...even though I used my PayPal account of which I've never had a problem.
    But seriously, it takes 17 business days to take a stock laptop, put a different CPU in to (same mobo), snap on a deferent back cover for the LCD, and add a mini-PCIe card?

    The only real excuse I can think of is that Dell cleared out their parts inventory and there's a 15 day lead time to get all the required parts in...which is a very S***ty way of running a factory. :toofar:

    IIRC, my old Dell laptop took about a week from submitting the order, to arriving on my doorstep.

    No offence Tri, but Canadian French is really hard to understand for a Frenchman. I've had more practice than most and I still need to concentrate (and I'm talking about TV shows, not regular people). ;)

    And I got that bike. I want something very unassuming so it won't attract the attention Cologne's omnipresent and insatiably greedy guild of bicycle thieves. Even though it stood outside for about a year it was basically unharmed, the components mostly being made of aluminium and stainless steel, a couple of rusty screws aside. The previous owner ruined the bottom bracket. Meh. Anyway, the repair won't cost much. It also needs some maintenance, but it handles well, and I tried it, it rolls very well.

    Fun part: When I got there, the owner told me that little thing he had forgotten to tell me: The bike was still locked, because, eh, uhm, he had lost his keys (and I have no reason to doubt that). So I brought the bike, with the lock, to a nearby DIY store, where I wanted to rent a heavy duty wire cutter. They didn't have those so I rented a angle grinder, for a minute, and cut the lock. I was glad that I had the foresight to print out the e-mail exchange in which the previous owner gave me the bike, because inevitably a cop came along asking me what the hell I was doing, so I could convincingly explain him that I was cracking the lock of my own, legally acquired bike.
