    @Tassadar: You sure? As far as I'm aware anyone trying to connect something like metal and classical music usually points to Wagner. Vivaldi and metal. Well, a new way to listen to Vivaldi, I guess...

    @Carcaroth: Well done! Vaughan Williams has done great things in about any field of classical work, but I honor his songs by O'Sullivan, Whitman and from Shakespear especially.

    Scriabin - Sonatas
    Prokofiev - Piano Concertos No 2 and 5
    Schubert - Winterreise
    Brahms - Ein Deutsches Requiem ("Denn alles Fleisch es ist wie Gras". *shiver*)
    Berg - Wozzeck
    Wagner - Parsifal, Wesendonk Lieder
    Richard Strauss - Operas
    Puccini - Operas
    Mozart - Requiem, Don Giovanni
    Verdi - Requiem, Don Carlos (Beginning of Act 4: Elle ne m'aime pas. *sigh*)
    Hindemith - Mathis der Maler
    Schumann - Dichterliebe
    Mahler - Kindertotenlieder, Symphonies
    Nick Cave - The Lyre of Orpheus ;)

    Eat this! These are the things I tend to listen to most often. I find it hard to choose anyone as a favourite composer, though, because frankly, most of them don't have very much in common. It's very depending on my current mood.
