This is where you arrive when you leave the Hellish Pocket Plane and ask to escape Saradush, which will be when you go to find a way to kill Yaga-Shura.
The first thing you notice is the noise of battle coming from the north – a group of Yaga-Shura's soldiers are slaughtering some innocent merchants.
Here is where you arrive in the North Forest. Move north and kill the Yaga-Shura soldiers.
Here will be Karthis al-Hezzar, sole survivor of the soldiers' raid. He speaks to you automatically once the soldiers are dead and you approach. For not demanding a reward, the party receives 1,000 GP and +1 to your reputation.
If you ask for a reward, you get 4,240 GP but no reputation increase.
If you decide to kill him, your reputation drops to 9 and of course you lose access to his shop.
Karthis will sell his wares (and buy your loot) while waiting for the next caravan to pick him up, which never happens in my games. Click here for his shop inventory.
On the other side of this bridge are two Fire Giants. They can't get across so you could kill them with missile fire while they try in vain to get at you, if you're into cheesy tactics. ;-)
