The Thermal Pearl

Stalwart Village

  1. Tealdor is at #21 on the Stalwart Village map. He would like you to retrive a 'thermal pearl' from a pool in the Longwatch Falls for him. He warns you that the pool will be protected by a horde of Lagufaeth. A Survival check of 4 reveals that the mineral content of the pool can cure scurvy.

  2. Lagufaeth BroodmotherThere will be a large force of Lagufaeth, led by a pair of Lagufaeth Broodmothers, at #7 on the Longwatch Falls map. This fight can be quite dangerous since the Broodmothers can cast Druid spells. The spell Prayer Against Imprisonment, or any other spell that raises defenses, will come in handy so as to avoid the paralysis effect of the enemies' darts. The common Lagufaeth will leave behind Clubs, Lagufaeth Stilettoes and Lagufaeth Livers when killed. The Broodmothers will leave behind Fine Pikes when killed.

  3. The pool at #9 has the Pearlescent Orb that you're looking for.

  4. Once you approach any access point to the White March Map, you will lose the Pearlescent Orb as it turns into a Baby Lagufaeth that you can have as your pet.

  5. The task is completed once you speak to Tealdor again. You can either keep the Baby Lagufaeth as a pet option, or you can sell it to him for 500cp.
